New Paltz is a small town of about 18,000 with its roots in the foothills of
the Catskills, but with an urban cultural center driven by the state
university.  Though originally founded by French Huguenots, the locals are
predominantly Irish and Italian Catholics.  The university has been called
the most liberal in the New York State system.  The town is as eclectic as
any.  Yet, amidst all the differences, most hold one thing in common: a
desperate need of the Savior.

Imagine a diverse and vibrant community finding "common ground" at the foot of Jesus' cross.  Imagine a place where people can set aside the common distractions of everyday life and join together in their journey of faith.  Imagine, a place where people from every corner of a diverse community gather together to worship and edify and then scatter to reach their family, friends, and co-workers for Christ.

This is "common ground" fellowship: a church made up of every cultural facet of the community coming together to glorify God through evangelism and edification.
